About Us

The inspiration behind Crystal Carat came about through my passion for crystals and the discovery of their versatile nature.  My story began whilst my daughter was competing as an Amateur Ballroom & Latin Dancer and having the privilege to attend many competitions – the greatest feeling of walking into the dance hall and being greeted by a shimmering sea of sparkle!  The dresses floating around the floor were so enchanting, all exquisitely designed and encrusted with crystals….the overall scene was intoxicating and amazing to watch.  New challenges were soon on the horizon for me to embellish new shoes, create hair designs and add more crystals onto her dresses!

After several successful years in this sport, she decided to call it a day and I began to miss the life of glitz and glamour. It suddenly dawned on me that this did not have to end, I could experiment with crystals on different types of products/materials, to test their durability and efficacy.  Many creations later, this embellishment idea was extended to friends and family.  Aware there was a gap in the market I considered offering this service to others who may feel inspired to share the same experience.  After receiving several awe-inspiring commissions from business and private clients, I took my once happy-go-lucky hobby on a new adventure where Crystal Carat was formed.

In Summary….

Crystal Carat crystal embellishment items are a work of art and each commission is unique. Almost everything can be enhanced whether it be a printed/embroidered logo, or having your own personal initials or design – the choice is endless. My mission is to encapsulate the client’s vision, creating the desired effect with the assistance of a keen eye for detail, colour and design.  My methodology is simple, each crystal is precision hand placed using your chosen colours, shapes and sizes… ”Your vision, your way”
